PS The rear of the BC26 spreader caps are large and smoothly hemispherical and the spreaders themselves tubular, so I don't anticipate a problem with sail wear. Maybe better than baggywrinkle. We'll see.

Seen from Calshot Tower on Sunday 18th June, BC23 number 23 - and sporting a conventional spinnaker! In light, 6kt, winds she rapidly overhauled the much large ketch to her starboard. The red buoy, Black Jack is 0.3nm from the Tower, the buildings in the background are Lee-on-the-Solent, some 4nm away.

Seen from the National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) station at Calshot Tower on a grey Sunday 15th April: BC23 number 53 back from the Isle of Wight on her maiden trip, and a fleet of 13 Wayfarers which emerged from the mist and rain coming back from the Hill Head direction. Although we sometimes complain about the CLH trailers, the BC23 gave an exemplary demonstration of how to recover a boat without getting the wheels wet!

Great picture of the 23 Peter. Thanks, and congratulations to the proud owner, she looks a beauty in that grey.. I noted the square end rudder profile which seems to another small change since mine, number 25. (2014).

I too was out yesterday, was a bit hairy when visibility dropped to less than 50m I estimated. Really grateful for the chart plotter just to even get through the lock gate, then, when on the pontoon, brilliant sunshine..
