Mainly because I want the space in my workshop where Gwennol Teifi is now residing, I have decided to drop the price of my Storm 17 to £7,850  - as per attached details. If anyone is at all interested - do please get in touch through the forum or via the contact number within boat details.

Gareth, I'm thinking of buying a Storm 17, unfortunately I live in Perth in Western Australia!  I was wondering if I could pick your brains about the boat.  I have some ideas about modifying the boat I am looking at.

Ask away Andy
Have seen your questions to Ged. Briefly:
The storm originally had a bouyancy bag fitted under foredeck. I removed this without regret - plenty o buouyancy. Have done 1 capzize drill - easy to right
Would advise against sticking the outboard on an outrigger - too easily knocked.
Gunter rig is good because it is easy to pull up and lower in a hurry. Go for 2 reefing points on your main though. Water ballast lack of not a problem. A dry boat that I have never capsized in 13 years (other than the 1 'drill)
To get the extra storage space you want fwd then you will need to go for deck stepped mast.
Hope this helps

To hopefully prompt a quick sale I have decided to reduce the price of Gwennol Teifi to £6,650  details attached. This is a real bargin for someone for a boat of this quality and specifcation and condition.

Please get in touch if you would like to discuss through the forum or contact details attached.

I have today received a deposit on Gwennol Teifi, hopefully for a sale to be completed post CR19 outbreak. I am therefore taking her off the open market.

Looking forward to my new BR 20 in the fullness of time
