Glad to hear that you are making progress with new rollers and a two-speed winch.

As for retrieving straight, check the geometry of your trailer frame and rollers for misalignment.  There have been instances reported here of less than perfect symmetry on CLH trailers which can be adjusted for but which really shouldn't have happened in the first place.  See in particular this thread https://www.swallowyachtsassociation.org/smf/index.php/topic,1182.0.html.

Another update on my trailer progress which may be useful for other owners struggling with their trailers.

I added the swing bunk rollers to the swinging cradle which work really well, with those and the heavier duty winch, the boat comes onto the trailer lovely.

As for alignment, Thanks to Jonathan's suggestion of adjusting one side of the whole of the rear cradle seems to have helped with my wonky recovery. I brought the right side forwards by about 1.5cm and it looks pretty good. I think I could another 0.5cm to make even better.

Here's a photo of my last recovery. Much better than my last.

Thanks to all for your input. This really is a fantastic community!!
