Hi All, can anybody recommend a chafe guard to fit on a BRe please? Fitting up the boat ready for going onto a mooring next season. Thanks.

I've got one of these on top of my forward gunwales on each side to protect them at the point where I haul up the anchor chain https://www.bosunbobs.com/en/gb/Talamex-Stainless-Steel-Protector-Rubbing-Strakes---406mm-x-19mm/s-1615-3758.aspx

Agree.
I had to fit a second one of these, as boat originally only had on one side of bow.

Just followed my own link, to realise it was you Gav Y, who's question I was answering in Aug 2019.

Thanks All. The Talamex look just the job. Cheers.

The advantage and purpose of wood instead of steel on the rubrails that it is kinder to other boats incl. RIBS. Bit of a courtesy.

If any other boats are unfortunate enough to be in contact with the steels up on the bow, between the fairleads and the stem post/sprit, the steel rubbing pieces on my bow cappings will be the very least of their worries! ????

They protect my boat, from my mooring ropes.
