Mast rake

Hi Julian,

Looking at your second picture the rake of the mast and mizzen look to be different. They should lean back slightly and both be parallel to each other, more or less.

I think that is just a trick of perspective in the photo. I don't know that they are absolutely parallel, but they don't really lean in towards each other this much.

Here is a fine example of mast rake. Some handy knots as well.

By the way, the "Cutty Sark" was built in Dumbarton, Scotland.
