Have today received my renewal; substantial increase is slightly disappointing!
No claims made.

Noble Marine (brokers) are asking for £189.50, over £162.50 for the same policy last year.
This however includes my "25% NCD", which they propose as  protected, for £10.07, inclusive. Not sure about this?
£150 excess.

Cover includes
Racing risks, no seasonal limits afloat, UK coastal only, any user, marine legal expenses (£9).
£5Mil liability.
"Value" (total sum insured boat, motor, trailerat £23700. Perhaps slightly high?

Mast, spars etc insured to 75% new cost as >3 years old.

What do you think, and pay?
Any recommendations for an alternative?

Simon,

I felt that I was over-charged by Noble Marine last year and made a mental note to follow up on this recommendation from Jonathan https://www.swallowyachtsassociation.org/smf/index.php/topic,603.msg13665.html#msg13665

Craft insure. Thanks for link.

Ran my numbers thru their calc and they turn out to be very much more expensive (maybe >£25%) than Noble M like for like, for my boat, mooring and usage.

It appears they penalise boats not dry sailed or marina based; perhaps more specifically risk-focused?
There is also a long list of afloat mooring locations that they won't insure, at all.
Mine is acceptable, but as an example - St Mawes is not.

There are also seasonal limits on usage (not insured 15 Nov - 31 March) which I would not normally expect to affect me. I usually am in for Easter, and out 1st week in November...ish.

Craftinsure v competitive if dry-sailed!

My search continues.....
