Looking for drawing or diagram for running rigging for bay cruiser 26

Hi - I haven't seen a published BC26 running rigging diagram, apart from the inside of the boom,  although I presume that Matt has something. I think most of it is fairly straightforward, but is there something specific that you need help with?

Hi Nick thanks for reply just put up mast and boom and had a chat with Matt which explained most things have yet too connect reefing lines. Perplexed as too what a white Velcro ring around the boom, near main clew is for. Have not found a cicking strap yet so more fun to come.

Sea Simon

Velcro strap is a main clew hold down. It's  intended to allow the main clew to slide lengthways along the boom, as Sail is flattened by outhaul or reefs. While keeping clew snug to the boom.
Common nowadays on many boats from Lasers upwards.
My BC 26 has one.
It needs to be snug, but not too tight...rig around boom, thru clew ring.

You will need a kicker, and a cunningham  too.
My kicker now at 12.1, so as to allow one handed operation, no winching.
Not sure about outhaul purchases, but mine needs a winch in heavy winds

Dig about on here for photos of other boats setups?

BTW...welcome!
Which BC 26 are we talking about?  New? Used?

Thanks for replies just bought Pardela BC26 approx 7 years old, and selling a hunter liberty 22. BC Just failed boat Saftey test on several small electrical issues and gas locker should find out what issue is with locker soon

Welcome to the band of BC26 owners.

I also had a Liberty 22 ( Rubato) - the very first one and kept it for around 20 years, also run their website. The BC26 is a step up and completely different - has more room, is bigger and faster. I have had mine for 2 years now but still sometimes yearn after the 22 with its simplicity. But then I remember the long journeys up Southampton water which is so much quicker in the BC26.

I would be very interested in hearing on your thoughts about moving. Where are you sailing?

Best regards
Andy.

Hi Andy thanks for message I could not get the site to respond so had to re register hence delay in reply. The two boats are chalk and cheese and I think Pardela was an early one in the production as the latest instructions don't quite relate, I am just about to launch her on the broads as it is a90min drive from Ely where we live then plan to tow her to the DGA raid in Plymouth then onto Swallow yachts event in Falmouth then poss Venice. Just bought a car that will tow her and also cleaning up Lilly the Hunter Liberty for sale so have plenty to do. I wonder if you could advise me on setting up the standing rigging. The outer stays have some tension but the inner stays are floppy, also the Genoa haliyard  is tight but the top of the Genoa looks like ally extrusion is also floppy where it joins the mast. I have not rigged a boat with roller furling before??
Cheers dave
