We are selling our 2021 Bayraider Expedition, sail number 098. We listed her briefly at the end of last season but subsequently decided to have another half season of sailing and are now once again reluctantly listing her for sale!

We have made great use of the water ballast system that has enabled us to safely sail with our young children in choppy waters on a stable and steady platform but also without the water ballast you really do get an agile and exhilarating dinghy-like sailing experience.
She features the low-maintenance Lignia timber option, giving a Teak-effect finish throughout.
She is prepped for a spinnaker - we had all the preparations and fittings done at build for later purchase of a kite but we never bought one in the end. They were (and presumably still are) available for purchase directly from Swallow without any work needed on the boat.

Late 2021 Honda 6HP fitted, which has had minimal use. There is a large fuel tank fitted in one of the lockers, keeping the fuel system out of the way. Includes an outboard lock, two kill cords. Outboard also has an on-board fuel tank that we kept as a reserve.

We've loved how large the BRe cockpit is - it can comfortably seat two families and has been great for sociable sailing but provides good space to move around when sailing with fewer people. The cabin has been great for the kids to play around below and we've stayed overnight on board on a handful of occasions. The cushions are pristine condition and the cabin has been kept dry and free from damp - I've always kept a dehumidifier inside when not in use and cushions came inside the house in winter.

The 2-stage reefing system has been really useful for de-powering the main sail in a matter of seconds when required. It is really simple to do in a hurry as is often the case when reefing is needed.

We have always kept her ashore on the trailer (no wet mooring) so hull is pristine. Launching has proved very straightforward - she is exceedingly low draft and can be launched without even wetting the trailer wheel bearings. I can rig her single-handed in approx 30 minutes from pull-up so she's proved to be a very practical trailer-sailer.

Here are the features and options we spec'd from the Swallow team at build. We had just over £8,000 of options in addition to the base price.

* Rubbing Strip
* Full Cover PVC
* Flexiteek Seating
* Asymmetric spinnaker ready all fittings on Mast and coachroof fitted by Swallow in prep for a kite.
* UV strip on jib & mizzen
* Main sail cover (Over Boom, Dark Grey)
* Tiller Extension
* Stainless Boarding Ladder
* Spray Hood Dark Grey
* Canvas Bags & Interior/Exterior Rope Pockets Dark Grey
* Cabin Cushions
* White Ply headliner panels in cabin
* Braked Trailer inc lightboard, spare wheel, tie downs
* 3m jointed oars (pair)
* Stainless Keel and Rudder Protection
* Hull Colour RAL 7001 Silver Grey
* 2-Colour Paint Scheme
* Cover bag for Outboard
* Third tie-down strap
* Fuel tank
* Fenders
* Mooring Lines
* Life Belt

We have not used her extensively and her condition reflects this. She is as close to factory condition as one can get for a boat with casual use.

You are very welcome to view in Tavistock near Plymouth, Devon or if you are content from photos/discussions we could deliver by arrangement within England/Wales with a deposit paid. (Scotland possibly but it's a mission from Devon!). Very happy to fully rig and de-rig with you to talk you through the process and if conditions/location allows we could have a sail to go through the features etc.

Buy with confidence - we are the first owners from new and can provide full documentation and ID and evidence of direct purchase from Swallow.

Unfortunately no shipping or part-payments / western union etc. I have to say it as have been asked already.

She is listed elsewhere for £27,000. This forum and community has been an invaluable resource to us and I am keen to list her for £26,000 here.

Please do get in touch by DM if you would like to talk through further. She is listed on Facebook Marketplace, feel free to use the Messenger chat on there if you prefer.

Thanks, Ian
