Tim Riley, erstwhile owner of BR20 'Ristie', has just completed the NW passage in his aluminium BorĂ©al 47 sailing boat 'Lumina'.  See https://www.yachtlumina.co.uk/north-west-passage for his blog of the passage.  He has just crossed the Arctic Circle heading south.  His current position is north of the Aleutian Islands off the west cost of Alaska - see https://forecast.predictwind.com/tracking/display/SV-Lumina/.

Congratulations Tim on safely completing your epic voyage through the North West Passage and providing such a comprehensive and interesting blog of your exploits with your yacht and crew. I hope you enjoy a good break over the winter now Lumina is safely laid up ashore.

We took the easy route as far as Disenchantment Bay Alaska and the Hubbard Glacier up the Inside Passage in the relative luxury of a cruise ship, air conditioned with Covid for company, with the inevitable positive result on our return. There is a lot to recommend strict isolation.

Kind regards, Andrew
