3-bladed prop for e-Propulsion Spirit 1.0

Only thing on the BC21 is that when raising the EProp shaft up to get the propellor out of the water the  EProp throttle handle is about an inch too long to fold into the fuel tank bay in the side of the cockpit.  So I'm proposing to shorten the throttle handle and replace the existing rubber grip with a bicycle handle grip, I think for a child's bike. We'll see how I get on.

(The fuel tank bay is tailor made for a B&Q bucket for brushes etc. which locates neatly into the space)

WRT drilling the centre of the tohatsu prop out rather than sawing the end off:
I think this would be possible given the right drilling equipment which I do not have.
I just have a bog standard battery powered drill/driver and the larger drill bits I have are all the flat type which rely on being centred in a hole that they cut. I think what would be needed is a drill press, a means of centering and holding the new prop for drilling, and a large diameter twist-style drill bit (larger than the nylock nut and the socket needed to tighten it down!). All of this was firmly in the too-hard basket for me when compared to copying what has already been achieved by lopping the nose off the thing. The other factor for me was not knowing what was inside the thing I would be drilling -  would I have done irreversible damage by drilling and/or potentially screwing the drilling up through not having the right tools or because tohatsu didn't design it to be drilled into just to try to make it look a bit prettier...?!

Is there any preference for aluminium or plastic Tohatsu props?

The plastic one will be a heck of a lot easier to work on ... and work is required!
Also probably a lot cheaper.
No point in making it harder or more expensive than it needs to be IMO.
