Following on from the above, Swallow Boats have generously agreed to sponsor a special prize (a quaich) for the fastest overall BayRaider 20 (either model) during Sail Caledonia 2013.

The race rules of Sail Caledonia -at present- value the results of the canal rowing races relatively higher than the results of the long sail & oar races.

Unless it is masquerading as something else, I think Raid Finland (shown in the events directory as starting on 14 July) is unlikely to happen this year.  The original website http://www.raidfinland.com/ seems to have been taken over by trolls.  And a Google search on 'Raid Finland 2012' offers two references to this association's listing and that's about it.

Very short notice but there is a Drascombe rally on this weekend 6th-8th July at Teifi Boat Club in Cardigan, with a number of Swallow Boats entered.
