Here is (hopefully) my final post on this subject. I got the boat on the water today so did the first proper tests. Managing the BRe's CB is now very different. It is so easy to lift now that I can do it one handed and there is no extra-heavy bit in the final part of the lift. The CB now drops like a stone too. As an experiment, I dropped it when on a dead run at about 6 knots and it when down fully without a hesitation - previously it wouldn't  have fully lowered like this and would have needed more "encouragement". So, these changes have been very successful and are highly recommended. I will feed this back to Matt so he can incorporate on future boats.
