Another simple BRe improvement! The deck organiser has shown over three BRe's in Poole Harbour not up to the task for the main halyard. The sheaves very quickly meld into a semi-circle shape - not conducive to easy sail hoist even if the mast track is well lubricated!   In fact the deck organiser on the newest boat was even more rubbish than on the earlier boats.  The simple fix though is to tie a soft-attach ball bearing block looped around the now disused old sheave of the deck organiser. Voila!  Sail goes up like a dose of salts!

Mine is an RWO version.
Not impressed with the quality of this item either...
I've greased it, so far it has survived.

Charliea was very kind and sent me some spare sheaves from his stockpile! They do seem to be rather "soft"?

I did exactly what Ray has done a couple of years ago and it works like a dream.
